CABARRUS COUNTY — Congressman Richard Hudson was very clear during his visit to the County's mass vaccination site Tuesday morning: he wants teachers to receive their vaccinations.
"It's a real priority to get our teachers vaccinated," Rep. Hudson (NC-08) said after taking a tour of the vaccination site at the Cabarrus Arena. "I've been pushing for it on the federal level, we've said it's a priority, the Governor, it's up to him on how he prioritizes them in the distribution here."

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) - In Cabarrus County on Tuesday nearly 1000 people got their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. U.S. Congressman Richard Hudson (R-08) was there as well with local health officials.
"We've set a goal, and I know it's an aggressive goal, of vaccinating 80% of the eligible population and right now we're at 10%," said Erin Shoe of the Cabarrus Health Alliance. "The largest groups are going to be groups 3, 4, 5, so we need vaccine inventory and additional funding to help us work through those groups as well."
Friends,
Chances are that at one time or another, you have sat down at your kitchen table and planned out a budget or balanced your checkbook for your family. Friends,
The White House set a record last week, but not one that we should be proud of. President Joe Biden signed 32 Executive Orders and actions in his first week in office, shattering the record of the next highest number by a modern president- 5 signed by President Obama.
I have been outspoken on my willingness to work with President Biden on policies that rebuild our economy, reopen schools, increase vaccine deployment and on other areas where there is bipartisan support. However, the executive actions signed last week are the opposite of bipartisan solutions.
It's time for someone to speak up for Congressman Richard Hudson, who represents Moore and parts of Cumberland County.
While our local and state elections are conducted with the greatest integrity, not all states/cities are as conscientious as North Carolina.
I applaud Congressman Hudson for standing up for his constituents on Jan. 6, whatever the results may be.
