It’s starting to feel like summer across North Carolina, and as the days get hotter, the fight for America’s future is heating up too.
Whether it’s protecting your paycheck, supporting our troops, or ending the chaos at the border, I’ve been working around the clock up in Washington to put your values first.
There’s a lot going on, but I want to highlight three big things this week.
1. Why We Need To Deliver President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill
Spring has finally arrived in our area, but the warmer weather is not the only reason to rejoice. For my family, like many of yours, this time is especially joyous because it’s Easter—a celebration of Jesus Christ defeating death and rising from the grave.
Every Easter, I reflect on the sacrifice Jesus made for our salvation and how even out of darkness and despair, there is life. The same can be said for our nation.
As your representative, I am committed to defending your constitutional rights and advancing policies that benefit your family, small business, and community.
Ensuring your Second Amendment freedoms are protected is one of my top priorities. I have proudly championed H.R. 38, the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, not just in this Congress but every Congress since being elected. This bipartisan, commonsense legislation would provide nationwide concealed carry reciprocity, so each state’s concealed carry license is valid in every other state.
Americans like you gave President Trump and Republicans in Congress a mandate to enact our America First agenda, and we have been working to deliver. From rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse of your tax dollars to supporting our troops and first responders, we are working to put you, your community, and your country first again.
Since Donald Trump took the oath of office on January 20th, you’ve seen the President work at a feverish pace to deliver on the promises made to you and start fixing the problems that were created during four years of a failed Biden-Harris agenda. President Trump has been working not only in the executive branch but also working with me and my Republican colleagues in the House and Senate. Together, we’re sending a clear message: the return to commonsense policies is here.
It is morning in America again.
On January 20th, the American people celebrated the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump. It is truly an incredible and historic time for our great country - it marks the beginning of a new era.
It is a new year and the 119th Congress has officially begun. I am honored to continue serving you, representing North Carolina’s new 9th District in Congress. As Fort Bragg’s Congressman, I will continue to be the voice for our veterans, servicemembers, and military families.
I am working to ensure every community in the new district has direct access to the resources and support my office can provide. This includes all or portions of Guilford, Alamance, Randolph, Moore, Hoke, Cumberland, and Chatham Counties.
For my family, and likely many of yours, the holiday season is the most wonderful time of the year. Whether it’s decorating our homes or enjoying a meal around the table with cherished loved ones and friends, our festive traditions bring warmth and joy, shining brightly even amidst challenges.
Following the much-needed time with the ones we love during the Thanksgiving holiday, House Republicans returned to work for the American people last week and focused on how we can rein in unelected bureaucrats and bring fiscal responsibility back to Washington.
