The United States Congress created the Veterans History Project (VHP) in 2000 as part of the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress. VHP’s purpose is to collect, preserve, and make accessible the personal accounts of America’s wartime veterans so future generations may hear directly from them and better understand their selfless service.

Internships are an excellent opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in politics or government. Internships are offered in the Washington, D.C. office, as well as our 9th District office in Southern Pines.
Our interns help staff with a variety of duties, which will vary according to each office location. Their primary roles are to handle mail and assist with phones.
