Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) will attend the bill signing ceremony at the White House for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (H.R. 803). This legislation will consolidate and streamline workforce development programs, protecting taxpayer dollars and ensuring that workers have the skills they need to get the jobs that are out there. As a member of the House Education & Workforce Committee, Rep. Hudson was a cosponsor of the House-passed version–the Supporting Knowledge and Investing in Lifelong Skills (SKILLS) Act.

Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), a member of the House Committee on Education & the Workforce, introduced the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Transparency and Accountability Act (H.R. 4959). Recently, courts have levied large sanctions against the EEOC for bringing lawsuits that were frivolous, unreasonable, or groundless. This legislation would require the EEOC to post on its website and in its annual report an array of information to promote transparency.
