Hudson Statement on TSA Administrator Pistole’s Announced Departure

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC), Chairman of the Transportation Security Subcommittee, released the following statement in reaction to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Administrator John Pistole’s announced departure:

"I have the utmost respect for John Pistole and his important contributions to the security of our great nation. From his thirty one years in public service, to his four and a half years as Administrator of TSA, John has proven himself to be a true public servant. TSA has made many positive strides under John's leadership, most notably the creation of TSA Pre-Check. I wish John all the best in his future endeavors and look forward to working with the next Administrator to ensure that TSA continues on a path toward being good stewards of hard-earned taxpayer dollars and toward more risk-based security measures at our airports."
