Hudson was appointed to serve as a Conferee on the House-Senate conference committee for the NDAA because of his leadership and effectiveness on military issues and his commitment to rebuilding our military and supporting our service members and their families.

Today U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after the House passed his bipartisan bills, the Securing Opioids and Unused Narcotics with Deliberate (SOUND) Disposal and Packaging Act (H.R. 5687) and the Safe Disposal of Unused Medication Act (H.R. 5041), as part of H.R. 6, a comprehensive package of legislation to combat the opioid crisis.
