Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) community engagement event in Fayetteville which will be held on Tuesday, August 14. Rep. Hudson invited the EPA to Fayetteville to hold a community engagement event so the EPA can hear directly from constituents to take action on PFAS.

This bill includes his legislation, the Animal Health and Innovation Act of 2018 (H.R. 5599), which will expand the innovative conditional approval pathway to major uses and major species, such as dogs, cats, horses, swine, and poultry.

Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement reacting to the announcement that Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina requested an overall average rate decrease of 4.1 percent for 2019 Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans offered to individuals– the first rate decrease request since the ACA was passed into law. In 2015, rates increased by 13.5%; in 2016, by 32.5%; and in 2017, by 24.3%.

Today U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), Fort Bragg's Congressman and an outspoken advocate for North Carolina's military community, spoke on the House floor in support of his resolution expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the lack of timely and predictable funding unnecessarily undermines the mission of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and jeopardizes the security of the United States (H.
