KANNAPOLIS — All are invited to come with their lawn chairs and American flags in hand to the Parade of Veterans and Kannapolis Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 27.
The parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Main Street and Laureate Way and will end at Veterans Park on Main Street. The following ceremony will be held at noon in Veterans Park.

Richard Hudson, R-N.C., introduced a bill to protect federal Medicaid funding from being used to provide health coverage to undocumented immigrants. California’s Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom recently announced plans to push for Medicaid coverage for California’s undocumented immigrant population, which could require federal funding to implement the measure while California’s program Medi-Cal would shoulder the costs of the benefits provided.
