Transportation Security Chairman Hudson Statement on LAX Shooting
CONCORD- U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), Transportation Security Subcommittee Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, released the following statement after today’s tragic shooting at Los Angeles International Airport:
“I’m deeply saddened by the senseless attack that occurred today at Los Angeles International Airport. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the victims. This event reminds us of the perils our transportation security and law enforcement agents face every day as they work to protect travelers. I want to thank our officers in Los Angeles for their swift response and continued bravery in the face of danger. There is little doubt that their efforts saved many lives at one of the world’s busiest airports. As the investigation continues into why this attack occurred and how it was undertaken, I will work closely with my colleagues and the transportation security community to determine what lessons can be learned for the future.”
