Hudson Votes to Restore Fiscal Responsibility

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after voting in favor of the FY2015 House Republican Budget—The Path to Prosperity (H.Con.Res. 96).

“At a time when hard-working Americans are struggling to make ends meet and millions more are still out of work, we owe it to them to create an environment where the economy can grow and jobs can be created,” said Hudson. “That starts with a responsible, balanced budget that gets government out of the way so individuals and businesses can put their talents and ideas to work.”

“Today, I was proud to support a proposal that expands opportunity by growing the economy, cuts over $5 trillion in spending, repeals Obamacare, and strengthens our nation’s safety net by making much-needed reforms to vital programs. I hope President Obama and the Democrats will finally take this opportunity to join us and get serious about restoring fiscal responsibility.”
