Hudson Votes to Protect American Taxpayers from Government Abuse
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after voting in support of three bills this week to protect hard-working taxpayers from government abuse:
“The American people not only expect, but deserve basic fairness and accountability from their government,” said Hudson. “But as we saw with the case of the IRS unfairly targeting conservative groups for political purposes, the Obama administration has taken its abuse of power through executive overreach to dangerous levels. I was pleased to join my colleagues in voting to provide genuine accountability to stop government abuse, protect hard-working taxpayers, and begin to restore the American people’s trust in government.”
