Hudson Votes to Keep the IRS Out of Obamacare

WASHINGTON-U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) issued the following statement after voting for the Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act of 2013- legislation that would prohibit the Internal Revenue Service from implementing or enforcing any provisions of the president’s health care law.

“When it comes to an individual’s personal health care decisions, no American should be required to answer to the IRS- an agency that has forfeited its claim to a reputation of integrity and impartiality,” said Hudson. “We cannot allow the same agency that just committed an appalling violation of the American people’s trust to enforce Obamacare. Today’s vote is a much-needed, common sense step to take the IRS, and government abuse, out of health care.”
