Hudson Votes to Increase Access to Quality Education
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after voting in favor of The Success and Opportunity through Quality Charter Schools Act (H.R. 10):
“Charter schools are so important to our education system because they provide families with more choices to access quality education. I recently had the opportunity to visit a charter school in Union County and I was so impressed by the students’ eagerness to learn and the innovative ways the school serves each student’s unique needs.
“This bipartisan legislation helps replicate this success all across our country to provide children and their parents an opportunity for a better education and a better life. As the son of a public school teacher, I strongly believe excellence in education is the right of every child and I am proud to support this legislation to help make that possible.”
