Hudson Votes to Fund Children’s Health Care
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after the House passed the CHAMPIONING HEALTHY KIDS Act (H.R. 3922(link is external)), fully offset legislation to fund the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), community health centers, and other important health priorities.
“These public health programs are critical to families in North Carolina. We ensure children and their families who rely on CHIP can continue to get the health care they need without increasing the deficit – this is how things should work in Congress. I’m pleased to see this bill pass the House, and I encourage the Senate to act quickly to help restore peace of mind for families who rely on these programs.”
