Hudson Votes to Ban Taxpayer Funded Abortions

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after voting for the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act of 2015 (H.R. 7).

“As America works to end global violence and stand as a beacon of peace, it’s absolutely shameful that our country allows the violence of abortion. Further, it is immoral that Obamacare continues to force taxpayers to potentially pay for health care plans that fund the termination of innocent lives.

“Today, as hundreds of thousands of Americans join together in solidarity to protect the precious gift of life, I proudly voted to defend life and ban the use of our hard earned tax dollars to finance or subsidize abortions. North Carolina can be sure that I will continue to stand firm on our shared values to defend life at every step and fight to end the cruel practice of abortion.”
