Hudson Votes for Bipartisan Farm Bill
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), Chairman of the Agriculture and Rural America Task Force, released the following statement after the House passed the bipartisan Farm Bill Conference Report:
“As we’ve seen this year, our farmers and rural communities face enormous uncertainty from natural disasters and unfair global markets,” said Rep. Hudson. “While it’s not perfect, today’s bipartisan Farm Bill helps ensure agriculture remains the lifeblood of North Carolina.”

As a leader on agriculture issues and Chairman of the bipartisan Agriculture and Rural America Task Force, Rep. Hudson has been recognized as a Friend of Farm Bureau, an award he has earned every year as a member of Congress. He has earned this recognition for his tireless work to empower North Carolina’s farmers and rural communities to help grow the state’s economy.
In Congress, Rep. Hudson has served on two committees that are critical to North Carolina Agriculture. His first term, he served as a member of the House Agriculture Committee. He currently serves on the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee which has jurisdiction over the EPA and FDA.
