Hudson Votes Against Resolution
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), Fort Bragg’s Congressman, released the following statement after voting against a partisan resolution that attempts to hamstring our military commanders and President Donald Trump’s constitutional authorities as Commander-in-Chief:
“I am Fort Bragg’s Congressman and my constituents are on the ground in Syria and Iraq right now,” said Rep. Hudson. “To think that Washington politicians want to take away the authorities they’re operating under and tie the hands of troops currently serving in harm’s way is outrageous and irresponsible. Now is the time for national unity behind our military – it is not a time for partisan politics that undermine our Commander-in-Chief and jeopardize the safety of our brave men and women in uniform.”
