Hudson to Speak at CPAC Thursday
WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Thursday, February 28, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), author of the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (H.R. 38), will speak at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC(link is external)).
“I’m excited to join a strong group of patriots, principled conservatives and grassroots activists to talk about my concealed carry reciprocity bill and our ongoing efforts to protect the Second Amendment and the rights of law-abiding citizens,” said Rep. Hudson.
WHAT: Rep.Hudson Speaking at CPAC on a panel titled “Disarming the Left's Hypocrisy: The Fatal Disadvantage of ‘Gun Control’”
WHEN:Thursday, February 28, 2019; 12:40 PM EDT
WHERE:Main Stage, Potomac Ballroom, Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center
Last week, Rep. Hudson filed his Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act as an amendment to H.R. 8, a bill the House is expected to be considered this week(link is external), saying, “We all want to end gun violence, and we should be talking about common sense solutions that can actually help prevent it—like supporting local law enforcement, ensuring laws and protocols are followed to spot warning signs, improving mental health care and implementing my national concealed carry reciprocity bill. Instead, Speaker Pelosi is pushing an overreaching bill that would have done nothing to prevent recent mass violence, but would endanger the Constitutional rights of millions of law-abiding Americans. I will continue standing up for common sense and the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.”
