Hudson Surveys Florence Damage in Moore County, Provides Constituents Resources
ROBBINS, N.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after traveling across the eighth district and stopping in every county to meet with Emergency Management officials and other local leaders, learn more about response and recovery efforts, and talk with constituents in shelters. On Saturday, Rep. Hudson was briefed on emergency response efforts and surveyed storm damage in Robbins, pictured below at the town’s water treatment facility. Rep. Hudson previously visited the community and met with Moore County Emergency Management officials on Sunday, September 16.
“My wife Renee and I are heartbroken to see the devastation from Hurricane Florence, and we will continue to pray for our state,” said Rep. Hudson. “The massive amount of rain and flooding in Moore County caused several roads to shut down and damaged a lot of homes. I have been monitoring recovery efforts and the flooding in the county – particularly in the Vass area – and I’m very concerned. I will continue to work with state and local officials to ensure we have what we need to rebuild.”
