Hudson Statement on the 18th Anniversary of September 11, 2001
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement on the 18th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks:
“Eighteen years ago today, I was in Washington, D.C. with a group from the Cabarrus and the Rowan County Chambers,” said Rep. Hudson. “I will never forget how I felt watching live television as the second plane flew into the World Trade Center. I will never forget the plume of smoke coming from the Pentagon that was visible from Capitol Hill. I will never forget how we came together as a nation in the days and weeks that followed. We must never forget the lives we lost in New York, at the Pentagon, on Flight 93, and those who have perished in our ongoing war against terror. Renee and I continue to pray for our men and women in uniform, our veterans and their families who sacrifice for our country’s security.”
