Hudson Statement on the 17th Anniversary of September 11, 2001
WASHINGTON, D.C.– Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement on the 17th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks:
“It’s hard to believe 17 years have passed since September 11, 2001,” said Rep. Hudson. ”As a nation, we will never forget the innocent lives lost in New York, at the Pentagon, and on Flight 93. We will never forget the heroism of first responders, bystanders, and fellow citizens who made the ultimate sacrifice, and we continue to pray for their families. We also recommit to defeating radical Islamic terrorism and those who seek to destroy America and our way of life. Renee and I continue to pray for our men and women in uniform and those who have lost loved ones in our ongoing fight against terrorism.”
In recognition of Patriot Day and to honor veterans, first responders and law enforcement, Rep. Hudson’s office is delivering American flags he had flown over the U.S. Capitol to fire departments across the eighth district.
