Hudson Statement on Tax Day
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) issued the following statement on Tax Day:
“Working on behalf of the American people, my colleagues and I have enacted legislation to stop IRS abuse like political targeting, hold agency employees accountable for misconduct and help make the tax code work for all Americans. In addition, we will consider several common sense measures this week to protect taxpayers and continue aggressive oversight of the IRS. While these reforms will make a difference, there’s still a lot of work to do. I will continue to work to advance comprehensive tax reform that will create jobs. I want to completely overhaul our current system to make it simpler, fairer and flatter for everyone.”
