Hudson Statement on Robert Wilkie Nominated VA Secretary
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), Fort Bragg's Congressman and a voice for North Carolina's veterans, released the following statement after President Donald Trump announced he will nominate Robert Wilkie to be the Secretary of Veterans Affairs:
"Congratulations to my friend and North Carolina’s eight district native Robert Wilkie on this incredible achievement,” said Rep. Hudson. “Robert truly has a heart for veterans. That coupled with his deep understanding of what management and policy changes need to be made to clean up the VA is what we need to keep our promises to veterans. As Representative of a proud veteran population, I look forward to continuing to work with Robert to ensure veterans have timely access to quality care – both within the VA and in our community.”
