Hudson Statement on President Obama’s Charlotte Town Hall
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) issued the following statement in advance of President Obama’s Tax Day town hall in Charlotte:
“As North Carolinians face one of the most stressful days of the year, President Obama will be asking taxpayers to hand over even more of our hard-earned money to pay for Washington’s spending addiction. I fail to see how his approach will help folks take home more of their paychecks, reduce our debt, promote job creation or provide the economic security working families deserve. Rather than striving for political victories, President Obama should address these worries felt by North Carolina families struggling under the Obama economy. “
In addition, Rep. Hudson wrote an op-ed in the Charlotte Observer to discuss the need for a simpler, fairer and flatter tax code, which can be viewed here.
