Hudson Statement on President Obama’s Budget Proposal
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement reacting to President Obama’s budget proposal:
“Only President Obama would call an $18 trillion debt ‘mindless austerity’ while proposing a budget that raises taxes on middle class families, grows the government instead of the economy and fails to address the fiscal challenges we face. The only thing ‘mindless’ is the President’s insistence on burdening future generations with enormous debt to pay for his big government economic schemes. My colleagues and I are willing to work with the Administration to find a responsible plan that addresses the drivers of our debt, but President Obama has once again chosen to push the same failed policies that give more control to the government at the expense of the middle class.”
