Hudson Statement on Preservation of 440th AW

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement in response to the announcement by Air Force Reserve Command that deactivation of the 440^th Airlift Wing has been delayed until at least fall 2016:

"Putting two and two together, it's no surprise the Air Force has come to the right conclusion that the 440^th is a critical component necessary to maintain the readiness of our military and protect our national security. While this delay is welcome news, it's not nearly enough to take the 440^th off the chopping block, and that's why my colleagues and I won't stop fighting for Ft. Bragg."
