Hudson Statement on National Day of Prayer
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) issued the following statement in observation of the 65th Annual National Day of Prayer:
“For me, this year’s National Day of Prayer is a little different than any one before. As a first-time father to a 7-month-old baby boy, I worry about his future. Like many parents in North Carolina, I want my son – and every child – to have the same opportunities I had and a better, prosperous and safe future. We face a lot of challenges to get there, but I find hope in prayer and the word of God. Today, I join millions of Americans in humbly giving these worries to the Lord and giving thanks for the blessings He has given to our country. We pray for our veterans, our active duty servicemembers and their families who sacrifice for our safety and security. Let us all be united in placing our trust in the Lord and finding strength for our future – and our children’s futures – as one nation under God.”
