Hudson Statement on Events in Charlotte
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement:
“Renee and I are deeply saddened by last night’s tragic events in Charlotte, and our thoughts and prayers remain with our community and our police officers as we work to restore peace and safety. I am continuing to monitor the situation, and I have reached out to Police Chief Putney and Governor McCrory to offer any assistance. I trust CMPD will conduct a thorough, fair and transparent investigation. I share Chief Putney’s hope and desire that our community can come together and turn this tragedy into an opportunity for greater understanding.”
