Hudson Statement on DOL Overtime Rule Injunction
WASHINGTON, D.C. –Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after a federal judge in Texas blocked the Obama administration's harmful overtime rule scheduled to take effect on December 1:
"Like many hardworking Americans, I'm pleased to see the administration's harmful overtime rule blocked. This one-size-fits-all rule would force many workers to shift from salaried to hourly, reduce employees' wages and hours, and raise prices on consumers. I'll continue to work with my colleagues to put an end to this rule once and for all."
In September, Rep. Hudson voted for the Regulatory Relief for Small Businesses, Schools, and Nonprofits Act (H.R. 6094) to delay the DOL rule for six months.
