Hudson Statement on Death of Green Beret
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), the representative of Fort Bragg, released the following statement on the death of Staff Sgt. Alexander W. Conrad, a soldier who was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne):
“My wife Renee and I send our sincere condolences and prayers to the family and loved ones of Staff Sgt. Alexander W. Conrad and the entire Special Forces community during this difficult time,” said Rep. Hudson. “We also pray for the swift recovery of the four other Americans who were injured and their families. Staff Sgt. Conrad was a decorated soldier who spent almost a decade serving – always putting country before self. He will be remembered for his bravery and patriotism. This loss is a tragic reminder of the perils our brave special operations soldiers face every day as they serve our nation’s interests by supporting our friends and allies in the fight to rid the world of terrorism. We are grateful for their service and will continue to support them and honor their sacrifice.”
