Hudson Statement on Bill that Fails to Defund Planned Parenthood

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after Congress passed a funding bill that fails to defund Planned Parenthood and address the horrific practices uncovered in recent videos:

“Late last night, my wife Renee and I welcomed our first child into this world – a precious, healthy baby boy named Lane. Because of this blessing, I was unable to vote in Washington, but I can assure you I would have voted no on today’s measure that fails to protect our tax dollars, fails to stop the brutal harvesting and trafficking of baby body parts, and fails to defend the most vulnerable among us.”
