Hudson Examines Zika Virus Preparedness
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after holding a hearing with his colleagues on the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations to examine the U.S. public health preparedness and response to the Zika virus:
“I’ve heard from a lot of constituents who are worried about the Zika virus and want to know what health officials are doing to prepare. While there is no need for us to panic, citizens are concerned and I’m going to keep pressing the administration and asking tough questions. Today’s hearing is just the first step of many to ensure our government is on the right track to effectively protect Americans from this potential health threat.”
