Hudson Congratulates UNC Charlotte Rugby on National Championship
CONCORD, N.C. – Today U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), UNC Charlotte alumnus and former UNC Charlotte rugby player, released the following statement congratulating UNC Charlotte Men's Rugby Club for winning the DII Men's College 7s Championship:
"As a proud alumnus and former 49er rugby player, I want to congratulate UNC Charlotte’s Men’s Rugby team on a tremendous 7’s season and an even greater victory,” said Rep. Hudson. “This was a hard-fought championship tournament for the entire team and coaching staff. These men put in the hard work on the pitch, successfully beating the defending champions. The Niners are bringing the gold home!”
