Hudson Appointed to Health Subcommittee
Subcommittee is Epicenter of Health Care Reform
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after being selected to serve on the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Health:
“I’m proud to serve on this influential committee and give North Carolina a seat at the table on important issues like health care reform. The Health Subcommittee is the epicenter for health care reform, and one of our first priorities is repealing Obamacare and replacing it with patient-centered, market-based reforms that make health care more affordable. The bottom line is, the American people deserve better than the past seven years of failed promises and a 1950’s-style, one-size-fits-all, government-run health care system. We’re going to give them better.”
In addition to his position on the Subcommittee on Health, Rep. Hudson will continue to serve on the Subcommittee on Energy and the Subcommittee on Environment. Last Congress, Rep. Hudson also served on the powerful Energy and Commerce Committee with positions on the Subcommittee on Energy, Subcommittee on Environment, and Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.
