Hudson Applauds Trump for Protecting N.C. from Energy Bill Hikes
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after President Donald Trump signed an executive order to rewrite the Obama administration’s power plant rule:
“I continue to hear from constituents who are concerned with the EPA's overreach and what it means for their jobs, their paychecks and their electricity bills. By some estimates, the Obama administration’s power plant rule would increase energy bills in North Carolina by 20% or more, which is exactly why I’ve fought to stop it. I applaud President Trump for taking action to protect my constituents from this energy bill hike and to help create a more abundant, affordable and reliable energy supply.”
