Hudson Applauds Pro-Life Executive Order
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) issued the following statement after President Donald Trump signed an executive order to restore the Mexico City Policy, which bars federal funds from going to overseas organizations that perform or promote abortion:
“As a pro-life advocate and father, I applaud President Trump for renewing Ronald Reagan’s Mexico City Policy to ensure our hard eared tax dollars aren’t used to perform, subsidize or promote abortions abroad. Tomorrow, as hundreds of thousands of Americans prepare to join together in solidarity to March for Life, I will once again vote to protect life and support the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act. Like many North Carolinians, I believe life is a precious gift from God and I will continue to do all I can to protect it.”
Tomorrow, the U.S. House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act (H.R. 7) which bars taxpayer money from being spent to fund abortions.
