Hudson Applauds Passage of Critical Defense Bill
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement applauding passage of the bipartisan, bicameral FY16 National Defense Authorization Act:
“As turmoil explodes across the globe and barbaric terrorist like ISIS and murderous regimes like Iran seek to destroy our country, America must maintain a strong system for defense. This legislation is not perfect, but it is a step in the right direction to address the growing threats we face in a cost-efficient, responsible way.
“Additionally, it continues our fight to keep the 440th operating and halts reckless, short-sighted cuts to operations at Fort Bragg – the epicenter of the universe. I applaud Congresswoman Ellmers’s and Senator Tillis’s leadership and will continue to be steadfast in my partnership with them to support North Carolina’s defense facilities.”
