HUDSON APPLAUDS NC SENATE BAN ON FETAL TISSUE SALE
Rep. Hudson continues to fight to defend the most vulnerable
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after the North Carolina Senate passed legislation to ban the sale of fetal tissue from aborted children:
“I applaud the action of state leaders to close any loopholes and stop organizations like Planned Parenthood from profiting from the harvest of unborn babies. It's time for Senate Democrats in Washington to follow their strong pro-life example and vote on the House-passed legislation that protects the most vulnerable among us."
Last week, Rep. Hudson voted in support of and the House passed the Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015 (H.R. 3134) and the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 3504) to defund Planned Parenthood and address the horrific practices uncovered in recent videos.
In addition, Rep. Hudson blasted Senate Democrats for blocking a vote on legislation to ban late-term abortions.
