The deadline for submitting an application is November 2, 2015
CONCORD, N.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement announcing the deadline for eighth district high school students to request nominations to a United States Service Academy for the 2016 academic year:
“One of my top priorities is providing top-notch constituent services, and it is my privilege to nominate outstanding high school students to our service academies each year. I encourage those who are interested in serving our country, receiving a quality education, and joining the honorable ranks of the strongest military in the world to submit an application.”
As Representative of North Carolina’s eighth congressional district, Rep. Hudson has the privilege of nominating a limited number of young men and women each year to four of the five service academies: U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation. For more information, please visit our website at hudson.house.gov or contact Mallory Morris in the Concord office at (704) 786-1612.
The deadline for submitting an application is November 2, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the Concord District Office: 325 McGill Avenue, Suite 501, Concord, NC 28027.
