September 5, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-09) announced the 2024 Congressional App Challenge(link is external)for North Carolina's 9th District.

“The Congressional App Challenge is a great way to showcase the innovation and technical skill of our community's middle and high school students," said Rep. Hudson. "I look forward to seeing this year's submissions and encourage all eligible students to participate."

The Congressional App Challenge was launched by the U.S. House of Representatives to encourage student innovation and engagement in computer science and STEM. This national effort seeks to inspire students from every corner of the country to explore coding and computer science through hands-on practice by creating an app.

Apps will be judged by a panel of industry professionals from North Carolina’s 9th District and the winning app will be featured in the U.S. Capitol and on the http://House.gov(link is external) and Congressional App Challenge websites.

Students must submit their app to CongressionalAppChallenge.us(link is external) by 12:00 PM ET on Thursday, October 24, 2024. The official rules and requirements of the 2024 Congressional App Challenge are available here(link is external).
