Hudson Amendment Passes House as Part of Defense Funding Bill
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), Fort Bragg’s Congressman and an outspoken advocate for North Carolina's military community, released the following statement after his amendment to increase funding for the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) to provide for additional training of Special Forces passed the House as part of the Department of Defense Appropriations Act for FY19 (H.R. 6157):
“Our Green Berets from Fort Bragg are being deployed all over the world to some pretty dangerous places and I want to make sure they get all the training they need,” said Rep. Hudson. “The men and women at Fort Bragg who I represent are the tip of the spear, and I am calling on the Senate to pass this bill to provide our service members the support and certainty they need to train, fight and win.”
