August 16, 2017
ROWAN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) visited the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury Thursday.
Hudson discussed improvements to the facility while he was there.
"There are many good, hard-working people at our local VA hospitals – many of them are veterans themselves," Hudson said in regards to his tour. "However, the recent VA OIG report shined a light on issues that must be fixed."
North Carolina is home to over 700,000 veterans. This visit comes in the wake of a series of actions, including President Trump signing bipartisan VA reform, to assist veterans in receiving more care and support.
