Rep. Richard Hudson Awarded NAFCU’s Congressional CU Champion Award

WASHINGTON—Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC) has been awarded NAFCU's Congressional Credit Union Champion Award.

Hudson was nominated by Steve Foley, president and CEO of Bragg Mutual FCU, who presented Hudson with the award.

NAFCU said it launched the new award this year to thank members of Congress for their support of the credit union industry and efforts to create a healthy legislative and regulatory environment that allows credit unions to thrive.

According to the trade group, the Congressional Credit Union Champion Award honors those who've gone the extra mile in supporting credit unions through the introduction or cosigning of credit union-friendly legislation, leading or signing onto "Dear Colleague" letters in support of credit union initiatives and exhibiting a pro-credit-union voting record.
