Dear Mr. President,
We write today to ask you to invite the 2019 Little League Softball World Series Champions from North Carolina to a celebration at the White House. It is our understanding that you have invited the 2019 Little League Baseball World Series Champions from Louisiana to the White House, and we hope to see our Rowan County Little League softball team receive the same warm welcome.
As the representatives of Rowan County, North Carolina, we were proud to support and watch our team win their second World Series championship in the last four years on August 14th in Portland, Oregon. These young women worked incredibly hard and defeated Eastbank Little League from Louisiana to capture this year’s Little League Softball World Series title.
We believe that as world champions, these Rowan County all-stars deserve to be properly celebrated at the White House.
Sincerely,
Richard Hudson (NC-08)
Ted Budd (NC-13)
The Rowan County Little League Softball Team was recognized at the Charlotte Knights game on Tuesday.
