Hudson Votes to Repeal Obamacare

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) voted to repeal and replace Obamacare with patient-centered health care reforms that foster job creation, lower costs and empower patients with more choices.

“At the end of the day, Obamacare epitomizes everything that’s wrong with Washington by taking power away from families and putting it into the hands of unelected bureaucrats. The unworkable mandates and regulatory burdens have increased health care costs for those who can least afford it and created a part-time economy where millions are forced to make ends meet on less than thirty hours of work per week.

“Today’s vote to get rid of a government takeover of health care that burdens small businesses and families is commonsense if we want to create more jobs in our communities. Instead of forcing folks under a one-size-fits-all system, this bill guarantees reforms that make health care more affordable and accessible for all. I’ll continue to fight for patient-centered solutions that put individuals and families in the driver’s seat.”
