Hudson, Pittenger Statement on Devonwood Lower Dam Reconstruction
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.– Today, U.S. Representatives Richard Hudson (NC-08) and Robert Pittenger (NC-09) released the following joint statement on the Devonwood Lower Dam reconstruction in Fayetteville:
“We continue to work closely with our colleagues in the North Carolina delegation to secure federal funds and help our community rebuild from Hurricane Matthew’s destruction,” said Reps. Hudson and Pittenger.“We have maintained an open line of communication with both FEMA and state and local officials and have contacted FEMA about the ongoing efforts to repair Devonwood Lower Dam. We pledge to continue to work together to cut the red-tape and ensure Fayetteville’s needs are met.”
Representatives from both Rep. Hudson’s and Rep. Pittenger’s offices are planning to meet with FEMA officials tomorrow to visit Devonwood Lower Dam and Mirror Lake Dam and to continue discussing funding options for the projects.
