Hudson Announces Congressional Art Competition Winner
CONCORD, N.C. – On Saturday, May 4, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) announced at an awards ceremony and reception held at the Cabarrus County Governmental Center that Abigail Avila, a student at Concord High School, won first place in North Carolina’s Eighth District Congressional Art Competition. This year’s competition was held in remembrance of legendary NASCAR artist Sam Bass, Rep. Hudson’s constituent and friend who recently passed away.
“This year’s entries exceeded expectations” said Rep. Hudson. “I can’t wait to show off our district’s talents in my offices and the U.S. Capitol, and I look forward to welcoming Abigail to our nation’s capital to celebrate her achievement.”
