As a bipartisan group of U.S. senators released more details Monday about their plan for overhauling the nation’s immigration laws, individuals on both sides of the debate in North Carolina offered mixed reviews.

U.S. Rep. Richard Hudson will be in Scotland County today to talk about farm issues.
Hudson, who represents the 8th Congressional district, will visit Hagler Farms on 1760 Old Maxton Road in Laurinburg, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

U.S. Rep. Richard Hudson is visiting farm communities in the 8th District this week.
His tour started today on the western end of the district and continues Tuesday in the Cape Fear region on the eastern end.
CONCORD — This morning at the Union County Agricultural Center, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson kicked off a farm tour across North Carolina’s 8th District.
A bipartisan group of U.S. Senators has begun laying the foundation for an immigration reform effort.

U.S. Representative Richard Hudson, from North Carolina’s 8th Congressional district, will be at the Richmond County Agriculture Service Center from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29.
Hudson began the farm tour at the Union County Agricultural Center Monday morning. The tour consists of nine stops in three days, from Jan. 28 until Jan. 30.
