Hudson Seeks Answers From Department of Homeland Security

WASHINGTON- U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (R-NC-08) joined members of the Homeland Security Committee in requesting a formal GAO report on the Department of Homeland Security's ammunitions and weapons purchases:

Dear Comptroller General Dodaro:

I would like to become a co-requester of a report that GAO is preparing at the request of the Committee on Homeland Security on the Department of Homeland Security’s ammunition and weapons acquisitions.

I recently discussed my concerns with Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul and Oversight and Management Efficiency Subcommittee Chairman Jeff Duncan and they indicated they requested this report to further examine the issue. Thank you for your attention to this issue and should you have any questions, please have your staff contact the Committee on Homeland Security’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Management Efficiency.

Sincerely,

RICHARD HUDSON

Chairman

Subcommittee on Transportation Security
